Obama's Super Delegate Pastor Sounds Super Familiar

State Senator,Rev. James T. Meeks (D-IL) is a super delegate pledged to presidential candidate Barack Obama. It has been said that Meeks is an advisor and confidant of Obama. He has also been known to render controversial sermons in the pulpit of his Chicago based church-Salem Baptist. The video below reflects one of his sermons and its message sounds earily familiar.

Meeks has also been identified as receiving $20,000 in campaign donations from Antoin "Tony" Rezko of Chicago. Obama has recently come under fire for accepting large campaign contributions from Rezko who started receiving tax dollars to build housing for the poor after donating major amounts of money to particular political campaigns. Rezko is currently on trial for corruption charges.

Is it just me or is the Obama campaign starting to sound like a broken record?

A Needed Knock On A Chicago Church Door

When Gov. Mike Huckabee (R-AR) was running for the Republican nomination, many Southern Baptist preachers received "official looking" anonymous letters prior-warning them that if they in any way tried to sway support for Huckabee in the pulpit that they would be subject to loosing their tax-exempt status from the IRS. The Republican nomination has been settled and now a legitimate violation of the IRS statutes has been discovered.

The IRS states the standard clearly:

To be tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, an organization must be organized and operated exclusively for exempt purposes set forth in section 501(c)(3), and none of its earnings may inure to any private shareholder or individual. In addition, it may not be an action organization, i.e., it may not attempt to influence legislation as a substantial part of its activities and it may not participate in any campaign activity for or against political candidates. . .

Political activities are defined as follows:

Under the Internal Revenue Code, all section 501(c)(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office. Contributions to political campaign funds or public statements of position (verbal or written) made on behalf of the organization in favor of or in opposition to any candidate for public office clearly violate the prohibition against political campaign activity. Violation of this prohibition may result in denial or revocation of tax-exempt status and the imposition of certain excise tax.

Certain activities or expenditures may not be prohibited depending on the facts and circumstances. For example, certain voter education activities (including the presenting public forums and publishing voter education guides) conducted in a non-partisan manner do not constitute prohibited political campaign activity.

In addition, other activities intended to encourage people to participate in the electoral process, such as voter registration and get-out-the-vote drives, would not constitute prohibited political campaign activity if conducted in a non-partisan manner. On the other hand, voter education or registration activities with evidence of bias that: (a) would favor one candidate over another; (b) oppose a candidate in some manner; or (c) have the effect of favoring a candidate or group of candidates, will constitute prohibited participation or intervention.

Below is a video of a "sermon" given at the church in which Barack Obama has been a member for approximately 20 years-Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, IL. In this video, the "church" clearly violates the guidelines outlined by the IRS.

It is obviously time for a knock on the door from the IRS. Where are those demands now?

With Friends Like These.....

GOP leaders in the state of New York are requesting that Democratic New York Governor Eliot Spitzer resign within 24 to 48 hours or face impeachment proceedings. This comes after Spitzer was caught with his pants down-well not literally but close enough.

The scandal erupted when allegations surfaced that Spitzer, who built his political reputation on rooting out corruption, spent thousands of dollars for a night with a call girl named Kristen at a posh Washington hotel.

George Fox, a friend and campaign contributor to Spitzer, found out on Tuesday that it was his name that Spitzer appeared to be using as an alias when contacting the prostitution ring. Fox said the discovery of his name in the sex scandal came "as a great surprise and disappointment."

However not all have a low opinion of Spitzer. A 22-year-old escort told ABC News in a phone interview that Gov. Eliot Spitzer had been one of her customers two years ago when he was New York attorney general and that he was a nice guy who tipped well.

Barack Obama's Bad Company

There's an old expression that says "if you lie with dogs, you get fleas." Either Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama has never heard this expression or he simply doesn't care.

Here are some of the recent associations linked to Barack Obama by various news reports.

1. Louis Farrakhan-The radical "Nation of Islam" leader who once claimed whites“blue eyed devils” and Jews “bloodsuckers that controlled the slave trade."

Farrakhan was awarded honors by Obama's church claiming that Farrakhan“truly epitomized greatness.” Farrakhan had nothing but love in return for Obama at a recent Nation of Islam gathering when he declared Obama the “hope of the entire world.”

2. Frank Marshall Davis-a member of the old Moscow-controlled Communist Party USA.

Cited as a friend and adviser by Obama while he was growing up in Hawaii.

3. Abongo "Roy" Obama- Barack's own brother-Luo activist and a militant Muslim who argues that the black man must "liberate himself from the poisoning influences of European culture."

“The person who made me proudest of all,” Obama once wrote, “was Roy. Actually, now we call him Abongo, his Luo name, for two years ago he decided to reassert his African heritage."

4. William Ayers-terrorist leader of the violent left-wing activist group the Weather Underground.

Ayers by his own admission was involved in the bombing of high-profile government buildings including the United States Capitol, The Pentagon, and the Harry S Truman Building housing the State Department. The day of the September 11 terrorist attacks, Ayers was quoted by the New York Times as saying: "I don't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough." In 1995, Obama visited Ayers home where State Senator Alice Palmer proclaimed Obama to be her chosen successor. Ayers and Obama served together on the nine-member board of the Woods Fund, a Chicago nonprofit, for three years beginning in 1999, and they have also appeared jointly on two academic panels, one in 1997 and another in 2001. As an Illinois state senator in 2001, Obama accepted a contribution from Ayers.

5. Antoin “Tony” Rezko-Currently on trial for money-laundering, fraud, aiding bribery and attempted extortion.

Buried on page 59 of the indictment against Rezko is a reference to one of many alleged kickbacks on a state contract that appears to have ended up as a $10,000 donation to an unnamed “political candidate”. The candidate has been identified as Barack Obama. . In 2003, when Obama announced he was running for the U.S. Senate, Rezko - a member of his campaign finance committee - held a lavish fund-raiser for Obama on June 27, 2003, at his Wilmette mansion. It is has also been reported that the Rezko family may have aided in the purchase and the expansion of the Obama family home in Chicago.

Many campaigns have been sunk for much less than even one of these associations. It's enough to truly make you wonder not only about Obama but those who are willing to vote for him as well.

Obama To Appoint Shady Lawyer AG In Return For Political Favor?

There have been multiple reports that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama intends to appoint a shady trial lawyer as Attorney General if he wins the presidency as payment for a political favor.

This is an attorney who previously raked in millions by exploiting the horrible accident of a little girl who was literally disemboweled when she sat on a wading pool drain that was open to suction.

The young girl was injured because, just minutes before the accident, other children playing at the wading pool pulled the cover off the drain. County procedures to screw down the cover in the children’s wading pool were not followed—even though the drain cover was screwed down in the adult pool, and even though the wading pool drain cover had been screwed down in the past.

The attorney sued the municipality, the county, and the pump manufacturer, eventually settling for a total of $5.9 million ($5.4 million of that from local taxpayers). After these suits were out of the way he set his sites on the drain cover manufacturer.

With the other defendants out of the picture, the attorney designed a story for the jury that made it seem like the drain cover manufacturer was the only one to blame. He also accused the manufacturer of hiding documents he never ask for and provided a dramatic closing argument that invoked the death of his own son who will killed serving his country.

The result? A $25 million verdict based on a lot of slick lawyering and emotions but very little guilt.

Who is this shady attorney? None other that former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards.

According to multiple reports, all Edwards has to do is endorse Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. If Obama obtains the presidency, it has been said that Edwards will become the new Attorney General in return.

Warning Shot: Stop The Attacks, I'm Not Shutting Up

There's a particular political "agend-ite" that loves to harass and threaten me. Just when I think she has disappeared into her own little oblivious political world, she jumps up to bite me again.

This attacker fancies herself a writer among other things and has even went so far as to misquote conversations with me in a local news magazine that very little people read.

Just when I think it's settled, she jumps up to bite again. On Friday I received a particularly nasty warning letter at my personal email address, once again demanding that I stop broadcasting my opinions and the referencing of news facts.

Apparently, she is under the belief that I am totally void of constitutional rights.

This is a final warning shot.

I will not bend my faith, values or beliefs for you or anyone else.

Money and deeds buys respect from some people, but not from me. When it comes to me, respect is given to a honest heart who looks beyond them self and their own personal gain. Your so-called "reflections" go in one ear and out the other with me.

Future harassment of any kind will result in full coverage of the sneak attacks along with the disclosure of your identity, your campaign affiliations and positions that you hold.

This is not about revenge. This is about standing for what is right. I refuse to enable your quest to plow over everyone you disagree with including the "religious right who are the problem."

We on the "religious right" often have the ability to forgive and forget a difference of opinion and I am no exception. I suggest you some how learn to do the same.

Edwards and Obama Also Given Representation At CNN GOP Debate

According to a fox news report, retired Brigadier General Kerr (a member of the a Hillary Clinton steering committee for homosexual rights) was not the only one to quiz GOP presidential while having an undisclosed connection to the campaigns of Democratic presidential hopefuls. Ted Faturos, 20, a student at University of California, San Diego, asked a question about corn subsidies. It turns out the urban studies and planning major also worked as an intern for Democratic Rep. Jane Harman.

A woman who identified herself as Journey from Texas asked the candidates about whether they would prosecute women and doctors if abortion were made illegal and the practice continued. After the debate, she promptly posted a YouTube video wearing a John Edwards '08 T-shirt.

Leeann Anderson, asked about the danger of lead toys from China. Anderson, an activist on the issue, is reportedly an assistant to Leo Gerard, president of the United Steelworkers of America. The union endorsed Edwards earlier this month, and Anderson's question is posted on the steelworkers' YouTube page next to a picture of Edwards.

David McMillan, a screenwriter from Los Angeles who asked the candidates why they thought the vast majority of African Americans don't vote Republican, has pictures of himself on his website attending a fundraiser for Barack Obama as well as several parodies bashing current and former Bush administration officials Dick Cheney, Karl Rove and Alberto Gonzales.

As developments continue, many viewers are left wondering if CNN was more concerned about stacking the deck against the GOP candidates than obtaining answers for voters with legitimate interests in the candidates' positions.

Hillary and Bill Clinton Tangled In A New Campaign Cash For Pardon Scandal

It has been reveled that Hillary Clinton has accepted thousands of dollars in cash donations from some of those controversially pardoned by her husband Bill Clinton during his last moments of presidency.

David Herdlinger, a former prosecutor in Springdale, Ark plead guilty in 1986 to mail fraud after being accused of taking bribes to reduce or drop charges against defendants charged with drunken driving offenses. He was pardoned by President Clinton in January 2001; he donated $1,000 to Sen. Clinton's presidential campaign in August.

Alfredo Regalado was pardoned by Bill Clinton for failing to "report the transportation of currency in excess of $10,000 into the United States" and has donated $2,000 to Hillary's campaign.

John Deutch, whom served as President Bill Clinton's CIA director was pardoned of charges he had mishandled government secrets before the Department of Justice could even file the proper paperwork against him. He has given has given the maximum allowable donation of $2,300.

This is not the first time that red flags have been raised regarding Hillary's campaign finances. It's enough to make you wonder where the bulk of the funds is truly coming from.

One might suspect that some of it may have been provided at the cost of the American justice system.

Democratic Corruption??? No way!

I know this may come as a shock to you, but there may actually be some corrupt Dems out there. It seems to be a real problem for the good people in the state of Louisiana.

I'm not talking about Democratic Louisiana Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco or Democratic New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin . Those guys did such a FINE job of protecting citizens Pre-Katrina and coordinating rescue efforts with Republican officials Post-Katrina. All the blame lies with Bush for that fiasco, right? I hear that Bush even runs with scissors! Oh the horror!

The shocker that I am alluding to is the fact that Rep. William Jefferson (D-LA) was handed down a 94 page indictment on Monday for 16 criminal accounts and 11 separate bribery schemes, including racketeering, wire fraud, money laundering, soliciting bribes and obstruction of justice. Jefferson also holds the honor of being the first U.S. official to face charges under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, which prohibits corporate bribery overseas. I wonder if all of this is Bush's fault too??

Jefferson is scheduled for trial in January and has been ordered to surrender his passport. He faces a possible maximum sentence of 235 years. In true Democratic fashion, he has plead not guilty.

I hope that all the good people across America remembers this and help to put the "grown-ups" in charge when voting in 2008.
