It is past time for many misguided Scientists to place actual Science above popular political agenda. It now appears that at least some are doing just that when it comes to the study of the earth's climate.
WorldNetDaily has reported that currently 31,000 plus scientists across the United States have signed a petition rejecting the theory of man-made "global warming." Those signing the petition include more than 9,000 Ph.D.s in atmospheric science, climatology, Earth science, environment and numerous other specialized fields.
"The campaign to severely ration hydrocarbon energy technology has now been markedly expanded," said project spokesman and founder Art Robinson. "In the course of this campaign, many scientifically invalid claims about impending climate emergencies are being made. Simultaneously, proposed political actions to severely reduce hydrocarbon use now threaten the prosperity of Americans and the very existence of hundreds of millions of people in poorer countries," he said.
AccuWeather Meteorologist, Joe Bastardi recently offered advice to America's presidential candidates regarding their plans to address "global warming."
"This is exactly how this should be handled," wrote Bastardi. "Mr Obama, can the Al Gore as an advisor on the environment. Mr. McCain, quit succumbing to pressure because you want to look nice or moderate. Both of you, get the people that can give this debate its true merit in front of you. Hillary, if you are elected, the same thing (you got to admit, she is showing some Lady Thatcher or Golda Meir spunk these days). But stop with watching people that aren't the main event."
"The polar bear situation should push Americans over the edge," he continues. "The long term population has increased. In addition, the cold this winter may simply be a preview of what is coming. That we are basically going to make it illegal to get oil, from an area that can perhaps help us get off foreign oil, because of yet another problem that may not exist, should be enough to clear the air and reveal that there are alot of people supporting this position that are not driven by the science, but what may be an almost fanatical madness, and that should resonate with people."
"This is not a matter of politics," Bastardi wrote. "It is a matter of science and facts and educated men squaring off and displaying their knowledge."
That sounds like great advice. Unfortunately, it's hard enough these days to motivate Scientists to show political agenda the backseat. What can we honestly expect from these guys?

Al Gore: A hero lies in you!!
Al Gore bestowed great honor and hope upon the graduates of Carnegie Mellon University on Sunday.
In and address to the graduates, he equated them to two other "special generations" of Americans: the one that founded the country and the one that defeated fascism during World War II.
Does he expect them to be the generation to cure A.I.D.S, eradicate terrorism or some other equally amazing and lifesaving task? Of course not.
"You, I hope and expect, will be called upon to be part of the third hero generation in American history," by countering the threat of global warming, he said. "We face a planetary emergency," Gore said. "The concentrations of global warming pollution have been rising at an unprecedented pace and have now given the planet a fever."
One day, just maybe, Al will get a grip on the "inconvenient truth." However the therapy bills will be enormous.

Moonbat Chatter-An Obama, Gore Ticket?
Democratic presidential candidate, Barack Obama has been vying for another jewel in his "King Liberal" crown since last year when he publicly posed an offer to Al Gore to join him in a "very senior capacity" as his "global warming" guru. Talk has heated up in the last fews weeks from analysts of a possible Obama-Gore ticket.
However there has also been comments saying the rumor is nothing more than attempt to sway attention from other areas of Obama's vulnerability.
"He’s trying to change the subject . . . and make him(self) the front-runner for the general election," said Republican strategist Holly Robichaud. "That’s good news for the GOP. For Republicans, it’s kind of a funny thing. We don’t like Al Gore. Once again it solidifies Obama’s image as the liberal’s liberal," she said.
On Sunday, London’s Sunday Telegraph, published a story claiming that former Gore campaign operatives have confirmed that his inner circle actually mapped out a plan for a Gore campaign last May, a strategy that now has a "sporting chance of coming true."
Although Gore has remained mostly silent on the issue, he has been seeking national attention since he crawled out from under his rock to fight the cause of "global warming." I have little doubt that if the opportunity actually presents itself, he will jump on it yelling and screaming while waiving a green flag.

The "Would-Be" Prophets of Global Warming
This is an excellent video that serves as a great reminder for the "would-be" prophets of the so-called global warming crisis to what is truly of great concern.
