Note To My Publishers, Networks and Readers

In the few months, my writing has be sporadic with no explanation as to why I'm often MIA. My normal activity on social sites and news networks has also been limited. The sporadic writing has also resulted in many publishers who routinely publish my work to now look the other way. It has also taken it's toll on my reader base.

I didn't really want to do this, but it's time for the explanation.....

I'm currently battling an illness that is effecting my hands. It is often preventing me from typing or surfing the internet for any extended period of time and some times from doing so at all.

When I woke up this morning, I had a important story in mind that I now may be unable to write-today. I have my good days and bad days and this morning is not a good one. Hopefully this afternoon will be better and I can pound it out.

Please forgive my sporadic updates and don't give up on me as a battle this. I will either beat it or find a way to eventually work around it entirely.

Sincerely and God bless,

Holly

My grandmother suffered from severe arthritis and I am starting to see the effects at 40. I understand what you are going through. I teach online college courses and it is very difficult to maintain the pace when your "tools" are not working properly.

I pray that God will give you the strength to carry on with your passion.

Physical problems can be difficult to overcome. What you may need to do is to look in to something that does voice to text. That might really help.

Glad we now know what the reason for your absence is!

Thank you for being vulnerable enough to share what is happening. I also share the same struggle with my writing as I have CFIDS/FMS and if I pace myself I do alright but with my recent moves (twice in 90 days)I am struggling to get back into a rhythm.

Please know I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers daily. This is just an obstacle that we have to find a way to overcome. At least that is how I view it.

A suggestion: maybe you could write an article or two about what it is like living with your situation. You would be amazed to find out how many people may also be struggling with it and hearing your voice may be the encouragement they need.

Thank you for being my encouragement today!

I am praying for you Holly. I have been disabled for about 10 years. Still recovering from a broken back. You can do all things, through Christ, Jesus!

I hope your illness gets better soon! I do recommend you switch to podcasting if you must - you'll be amazed how many listeners you'll get, and I'm sure people would be willing to transcribe your work.

You show great courage, Holly and that is ultimately the tool which will enable you to conquer your difficulties.

Voice recognition software is actually pretty reasonable. we will be praying for you. Also, is it arthritis, it is more common than people think at your age. I can point you towards some natural remedies.
